The COVID construction works you have carried out in such a short period of time has been incredible. You have come in under very challenging conditions and worked alongside our team to make this project as seamless and efficient as possible.

We acknowledge that this has not come without personal sacrifice from each of you and we would like to extend our appreciation to your families, friends and others in your bubble. I’m sure they have missed you at home especially with the additional challenges that come with being at alert level 4.

We selected Wiremu and Evolution Scaffolding through the people at Amotai (previously He waka eke noa).

After meeting Wiremu and discussing the project with him, we decided to give them the opportunity to work on the Pt Erin and St Mary’s Shaft infrastructure project installing and removing scaffold for McConnell Dowell. Since they have been onsite they have completed various scaffolding services, including access stairways into shafts, suspended scaffolds and creating safe access around fixed tunnelling plant for maintenance and operation.

They are happy to engage, understand our requirements for each job, turn up on time with the right gear and provide good solutions in a timely manner. We have been impressed with their workmanship and professionalism since they have come onboard.

We deal with Evolution Scaffolding regularly within the ADH.

I assess their health and safety capabilities within the ADHB maintenance area. We expect monthly reports from all sub- contractors who work in the ADHB sector and Wiremu has become our main contractor for scaffolding in this time.

His reports are to a high standard and are handed in on time and before our handover dates.
